Dr Sourav Chatterjee completed his MBBS in 2013 from R.G. Kar Medical College, Kolkata, and went on to earn his MS in Orthopedic Surgery from West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS).
Following his academic achievements, Dr. Chatterjee gained invaluable experience as a Senior Resident at Calcutta National Medical College, where he honed his skills in orthopedic surgery. His commitment to excellence led him to secure the 4th rank in the highly competitive national ASSI Fellowship entrance exam, which allowed him to pursue advanced, structured training in Adult and Pediatric Spine Surgery. This two-year ASSI Fellowship was undertaken at the prestigious PD Hinduja National Hospital in Mumbai, where he trained under the mentorship of one of India's foremost spine surgeons, Dr. Samir S. Dalvie. During this period, Dr. Chatterjee gained unparalleled knowledge and expertise in his subspecialty, enriching his practice with cutting-edge skills and insights.
Dr. Chatterjee has since treated thousands of patients, managing a broad spectrum of spine conditions, including degenerative disorders, trauma, tumors, and spinal deformities. He is particularly skilled in minimally invasive, microscopic, and robotic spine surgery, and has been actively involved in some of the most complex cases in the field.
Dedicated to ongoing professional development, Dr. Chatterjee was selected for the prestigious AO Spine Fellowship (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen) in 2024, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of spine surgery through continuous education and advanced training.
